Chicken Law

In 2022 the Village Board of the Village of Middleburgh enacted the local law to allow residents the ability to own chickens, guinea fowl, and pheasants. Importantly, this law does not allow the ownership of roosters, it solely allows the ownership of hens as for chickens. If you wish to file a noise complaint about illegal roosters, please reach out to the Village Code Enforcer. To see more about this law, click here.
