Deputy Mayor

My husband and I have two sons, and we moved to the Village 36 years ago. We also have two awesome grandchildren who attended MCS before going to college. I served on Dispatch with MEVAC for 18 years, and was President of the Renaissance Council for over 20 years. In 2012, I was appointed to the Village Board by then Mayor Matthew Avitabile, and have enjoyed serving as Trustee for 11 years. We have a dedicated and responsible Board, and a hard working Village Crew that I am privileged to work with. My family and I have loved our time in Middleburgh, and could not imagine living anywhere else.

Amanda Fernandez

Village Trustee

I am a first-generation Cuban American, born and raised in Northern New Jersey. I fell in love with the Schoharie Valley over 12 years ago, and always hoped to call this beautiful place my home one day. My professional career began over 15 years ago, when I started working for Liberty Mutual Insurance at 21 years old. I was lucky to receive a transfer to the Albany area 3 years ago, and I knew Middleburgh would be the perfect place to raise my family. I am blessed with four (soon to be five!) beautiful children and a talented, loving husband.

I have been a member of the Middleburgh Rotary Club for several years and am currently serving as Vice President. My children are active in Girl Scouts as well as the Schoharie County Youth Bureau program. I feel incredibly privileged to serve as a Trustee on the Village Board and work alongside it’s committed members & Village Crew.

Robert Tinker

Village Trustee

I have been a Middleburgh Village resident for 54 years and a member of the Middleburgh Village Board since 2012. I was a member of the faculty of Middleburgh Central School from 1969 until retirement in 2002. I have been marred to Stephanie since 2001 and our family includes 3 children and their families, including 4 grandchildren. I enjoy woodworking and fishing. I do love the Village of Middleburgh with all its quaintness and beauty throughout the four seasons.

Kevin Young

Village Trustee

I have lived in this Village for 5 years now and fell in love with its quiet charm. I have lived all across the Capital Region but when I moved here, I immediately felt that I was a part of this community. Two years ago, I decided I wanted to see if I could give back and help make this area better. I have a background in Information Technology and have served on the Middleburgh Planning Board, so I hope to bring these experiences to the Village Board.
