A section of Railroad Avenue from the Middleburgh Firehouse to the “Y” will be closed on Monday, March 9th, 2026, from 8:30 AM until the early afternoon to accommodate the removal of several trees. Access to Railroad Avenue will remain open via Grove Street and Sheldon Avenue.
The trees, which are located between the street and the sidewalk on Railroad Avenue, are responsible for the existing damaged residential sidewalks in that area and are being removed prior to the infrastructure being replaced later this spring. Upper Railroad Avenue between Wells Avenue and Danforth Avenue will be unaffected by this road closure.
Additional delays may occur later in the week, as Pridemark is cutting down the trees on Monday and is planning to grind the leftover stumps another day. The Village DPW Crew will be removing the debris.
