Update: Effective at 3:00 PM on Monday, January 26th, 2026, the Snow Emergency Declaration has been rescinded in the Village of Middleburgh. Village DPW Crews were deployed for twenty-six straight hours in response to this winter storm, which left more than fifteen inches of snow in its wake.

Effective at 1:30 PM on Sunday, January 25th, 2026, a Snow Emergency has been declared within the Village of Middleburgh. This declaration is in response to a major snowstorm that is impacting the region.

Pursuant to Section 12-5 of the Village of Middleburgh Code, all vehicles must be removed forthwith from all Village streets to permit snowplowing by the DPW Crew or they will be towed at the owner’s expense. Additionally, traffic should be limited to emergency and storm-related vehicles only.

This declaration will be rescinded upon removal of all snow debris on residential streets and commercial on-street parking within the Village of Middleburgh or within thirty-six hours – Tuesday, January 27th, 2026, at 1:30 AM – whichever occurs first.
