According to the National Weather Service in Albany, the forecast is calling for the Village of Middleburgh and the surrounding Schoharie County area to receive anywhere from twelve to eighteen inches of snow between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning.

The Village Department of Public Works Crew is closely monitoring the forecast and making preparations for the storm, which would be the largest to impact the Village in recent years.
Depending on the amount and rate of snowfall, Mayor Timothy Knight may authorize a snow emergency. Section 12-5 of the Village Code permits a snow emergency authorization at three inches of snowfall and would require all vehicles removed from Village Streets to permit unobstructed snowplowing or face tow.
Just a reminder: businesses and homeowners are responsible for clearing your own sidewalks and fire hydrants. Additionally, please avoid parking on local streets during snow removal.
