The back section of the new Village Parking Lot on Railroad Avenue will be closed on Thursday, April 2, 2026, starting at roughly 8:30 AM to allow for contractors to install a privacy fence between what was 111 Railroad Avenue and the neighboring property. This will bring the project that began with the acquisition of the condemned residential building last year towards conclusion.
Once the fence is in place, the Village Department of Public Works Crew will install signage for permitted and public parking spots in the lot as well as place stone on the surface. In addition, “no parking” signs will be installed behind where the parking lot is located off of Sheldon Avenue to ensure access to the leased, non-public parking spots belonging to the neighboring property.
