With construction anticipated to be completed by late-December on the Village of Middleburgh’s new parking lot on Railroad Avenue, the Village is now opening up a first come, first serve opportunity for residents who live on the one-way street and who need off-street parking for their vehicle to secure a spot in the new lot.
The Village Board has approved between three to four parking spots for permitted use by residents of Railroad Avenue while the remaining six to seven spots will be open to the general public patronizing local businesses; the final ratio will depend on the need. The new parking lot is anticipated to hold ten vehicles in total, with the permitted spots being placed in the back section.
Permit access is being restricted to residents of Railroad Avenue only and they should either contact the Village Clerk’s Office at 518-827-5143 (middleburghnyvillage@midtel.net) or Mayor Timothy Knight at timothycknight93@gmail.com with their name, vehicle license plate, and contact information. There will be no permit fee for the first six months.
