Earlier today, representatives of the Village of Middleburgh and the Joint Recreation Commission honored longtime tennis instructor Stanley “Ace” France with a ceremony by the Middleburgh Central School High School Tennis Courts.
Mr. France, who has been teaching tennis to Schoharie County youth for forty-five years as part of the JRC program, was presented with a “Key to the Village” by Deputy Mayor Sheryl Adams, as well as a cake, and a bench dedicated in his honor.
The ceremony was organized by JRC Youth Director Jean Cain, the bench plaque was donated by Thomas “Doc” Gruning, and the photos are courtesy of Clerk Melanie Laraway and Councilwoman Carrie Shaul.
